Nodofi NVM Service Manager — Windows
=====================================

This is the NVM Service Manager's own source code, plus scripts to run it and (optionally) start it
automatically. It needs Node.js 18 or later already installed — see INSTALL.md if you don't have it yet
(it's a normal installer from nodejs.org, a couple of clicks).

Unlike some of Nodofi's other packages, this one needs a little setup before it does anything: it must know
which relay to join and have its own name and a secret key. The first time either script below runs, it
creates a ".env" file from ".env.example" in this folder — open it and set MANAGER_KEY and MANAGER_NAME
(RELAY_URL already has a working default) before it will actually connect.

To start it automatically whenever you sign in (recommended):
    Double-click install-startup.bat
(The first time, this also installs the app's own dependencies — needs an internet connection and takes
a minute. If it says it needs administrator rights, right-click it and choose "Run as administrator",
then try again — this is usually not needed. If .env still needs editing, it tells you, and you can
start it afterward with: schtasks /run /tn "NodofiNvmManager")

To just try it out, running in this window only (closing the window stops it):
    Double-click run.bat

Then open http://localhost:8841 in your browser — that's the dashboard. The first visit walks you through a
one-time setup (a username and password).

To stop the automatic startup later:
    Double-click uninstall-startup.bat
Your data (.env, the data\ folder) is kept — delete this folder yourself if you want it gone.
